As a student abroad, it is very important to be involved in social activities while you are in the Netherlands in order to gain the most from your experience. You can do this by becoming active in your school and community, or simply by enjoying your favourite sports and hobbies in your spare time. Keep your eyes and ears open to find out what you can take part in and do some research on the internet as well in order to find out information about things you are interested in doing and seeing while you are here. The Netherlands, especially the big cities, have great access to music venues, theatres, cinemas, and other things. There are also many sports and clubs available as the Dutch are very active people.
