ABN AMRO's international students page is in English and describes all the specifications and conditions to opening a student account. It also gives you the option of insuring yourself and your possessions via an online application form. This bank is the only one that provides an English language service, and is highly recommended on this basis alone.
Intended for: Foreign students between the ages of 18 and 33.

Charges: The charges for this account are €20 to open the account and then €1.50 per month to maintain it. The World Card costs €1.25 per month. Note: These fees are subject to change so make sure you ask about fees when you open your account.
You can apply for the ABN AMRO International Student Account via the online application form, or at your local ABN AMRO branch. You will need either your passport, your European identity card, or your residence permit. You may need your BSN number and therefore may need to wait until your registration with your municipality is complete. The online application will ask for a student number, and your local branch will probably ask you to show proof of enrolment, so you may need a letter from your school confirming this.
These guides are never finished.
